Princess Marie gave birth to a girl at 8:27 am (local time) today at the Rigshospitalet in Copenhagen, Denmark. The little princess weighed 2930 grams (6.45 lbs) and her length was 49 cm (19.29 in.).With this latest birth announcement from her younger son Prince Joachim, Queen Margrethe II has now eight grandchildren.
