Prince Akishino was declared the Imperial Heir, Crown Prince in the
Ceremonies for Proclamation of Crown Prince on
November 8th. He is second in line to the throne after his brother, Emperor Naruhito. Crown Prince Akishino's son, Prince Hisahito, is third in line.
