Exhibition of Portrait Miniatures on The Dutch Royal House Website

An exhibition of twenty-one portrait miniatures has been launched on The Dutch Royal House website. These were selected from a collection of more than seven hundred portrait miniatures. Most of the portraits range below ten centimeters. Miniature painting emerged in the 16th century and was a popular art form in the courts of Europe.
