Former United States President Jimmy Carter had an audience with King Abdullah II of Jordan today to discuss the latest developments on the peace talks between the Palestinians and the Israelis. Carter praised the king for his prodigious efforts to bring lasting peace to the Middle East and said, “such efforts are vital to contribute to peace building and enabling peoples to live in a secure and prosperous environment.”
