On Saturday, December 13th, the Duchess of Gloucester visited British troops in Basra, Iraq. The duchess is the holder of several honorary military appointments. She is an honorary Colonel-in-Chief of The Royal Army Dental Corps and an honorary Deputy Colonel-in-Chief of the Adjutant General's Corps.
