Prince Nikolaos Weds Tatiana Blatnik

Prince Nikolaos tied the knot on Spetses Island yesterday. The bride wore a French Chantilly lace gown designed by Angel Sanchez. The couple wedded at the church of Aghios Nikolaos. The Bishop of Hydra, Spetses, Aigina, Ermionida and Trizinia, Efraim presided over the ceremony.

Marie-Chantal, wife of Prince Pavlos, wore a dusty pink dress with a shawl adorned in roses whilst her children were all dressed in white. Queen Anne-Marie had a rose theme imprinted on her dress and Princess Alexia dressed in silver. The Princess of Asturias, Crown Princess Victoria, Princess Rosario, and Princess Alexandra followed a Grecian style theme in their lovely gowns. Princess Madeleine glowed in mint green. The elegant Princess Michael of Kent was bedecked in a floaty creation with seashell emblems scattered throughout the fabric. Princess Marie kept it simple with beige and Princess Máxima looked radiant in her pastel number. Queen Sofía was fabulous in red and Queen Margrethe was regal in blue.

In his dinner speech, ex-King Constantine of Greece thanked the people of Spetses for welcoming his son’s wedding and said, “this is the first wedding of our family in Greece since we left and we are delighted that it is taking place on this beautiful island, Spetses, with its wonderful people…With deep gratitude to the people of Spetses and to the people from different parts of Greece who have come here today-our love and sincere thanks. We would also like to thank the Municipality of Spetses for welcoming this wedding on their island and for their understanding, The Police Authorities represented, the Port Authority and the Fire Brigade for the long hours they have all put in and for their discretion.”

Forty-year-old Prince Nikolaos of Greece is the second son and third child of ex-King Constantine and Queen Anne-Marie of Greece.
