Prince Harry and Meghan Markle Engagement Interview
Prince Harry asked Meghan Markle to be his wife whilst roasting a chicken at Nottingham Cottage on the Kensington Palace grounds. They met on a blind date arranged by a mutual friend. He proposed with a Botswana diamond on a yellow gold setting surrounded by diamonds from his mother's jewellery collection.
Meghan Markle is an American actress. She is best known for her character, Rachel Zane, on the USA cable network TV drama Suits.

Zara Phillips Engaged to Mike Tindall
Her engagement was announced via Twitter and Facebook yesterday. Zara Phillips will wed her beau of seven years Mike Tindall. In response, royal family members tweeted their congratulations.

The Princess Royal and Captain Mark Phillips are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter Zara Phillips to Mr Mike Tindall, son of Mr Phillip and Mrs Linda Tindall.
Zara Phillips is the second grandchild of Queen Elizabeth II.

Prince Charles Caught in Student Protest Fray
The Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall were caught in the crossfire of a student protest revolving around raised university tuition whilst on their way to a theatre engagement. The BBC reported that the Rolls-Royce bearing the royals was pelted with paint and one of windows was cracked by a violent group of protestors.
Clarence House Press Office confirmed the attack on the royal car by protestors. Charles and Camilla were headed to the London Palladium Theatre for a Royal Variety Performance in aid of the Entertainment Artistes’ Benevolent Fund.
The royal couple emerged unscathed from the incident.

Prince William Reveals Details of Engagement to ITN’s Tom Bradby
In his first post engagement interview, Prince William revealed more details of his proposal to Catherine Middleton to ITN’s Tom Bradby. The prince said he carried his mother’s sapphire and diamond engagement ring for weeks in his rucksack before popping the long-awaited question to his girlfriend of eight years whilst on a safari trip to Kenya in October.
The couple’s interview was relaxed with light-hearted banter on some of the finer details of their romance. Whilst pursuing his courtship of Catherine, Prince William said that friendship first in the relationship was a good foundation and a massive advantage.
The wedding will take place next year in London.

Prince William Holds Engagement Photocall at St. James Palace

Clarence House Announces Prince William’s Engagement
Perseverance prevails for Catherine Middleton! Clarence House issued the official engagement announcement of Prince William this morning. Below is the press statement from the Prince of Wales.
The Prince of Wales is delighted to announce the engagement of Prince William to Miss Catherine Middleton.
The wedding will take place in the Spring or Summer of 2011, in London. Further details about the wedding day will be announced in due course.
Prince William and Miss Middleton became engaged in October during a private holiday in Kenya.
Prince William has informed The Queen and other close members of his family. Prince William has also sought the permission of Miss Middleton’s father.
Following the marriage, the couple will live in north Wales, where Prince William will continue to serve with the Royal Air Force.

The Palace of Monaco announced on Wednesday 23 June 2010 the engagement of HSH Prince Albert II of Monaco and Ms Charlene Wittstock.
HSH Prince Albert Alexandre Louis Pierre Grimaldi, Sovereign Prince of Monaco, Marquis des Baux, was born on 14 March 1958.
His Highness is the son of Prince Rainier III, Louis Henri Maxence Bertrand Grimaldi (31 May 1923 - 6 April 2005) and Princess Grace, née Kelly (12 November 1929 - 14 September 1982).
HSH Prince Albert II succeeded His father, Prince Rainier III, 12 July 2005.
Ms Charlene Lynette Wittstock is of South African nationality and was born on 25 January 1978 in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe. Before settling in Monaco, Charlene Lynette Wittstock was a youth worker.

Eldest Son of Princess Irene to Marry
Prince Carlos Javier Bernardo, eldest son of Princess Irene of the Netherlands and Prince Carlos Hugo de Bourbon de Parme, has announced his engagement to NOS journalist Annemarie Gualthérie van Weezel. She is the daughter of Johan Stephan Leonard (Hans) Gualthérie van Weezel, a former Dutch politician and ambassador. The wedding is planned for 2010.

Photo Opportunity of Madeleine and Jonas
Princess Madeleine appeared with her fiancé Jonas Bergström this afternoon for a photocall at Solliden Palace after the Swedish Royal Court announced her engagement today. Madeleine displayed on her left hand a diamond engagement ring. Jonas asked Madeleine to marry him whilst on a trip to the island of Capri on June 12th. The couple gave a tentative time period for the wedding by saying that it could take place at the end of 2010 or in early 2011.

The Swedish Royal Court website announced today the engagement of Princess Madeleine to Mr. Jonas Bergström.
Below is the statement released from the Swedish Royal Court.
"Today, Tuesday 11 August 2009, the engagement between Her Royal Highness Princess Madeleine and Mr. Jonas Bergström was announced."
"After His Majesty The King of Sweden had given his consent to the marriage between the Princess and Mr. Bergström, His Majesty, in accordance with the procedures set out in the Swedish Constitution, requested the approval by the Swedish Government, which subsequently has been communicated to His Majesty."
"The wedding date is not decided."

Crown Princess Victoria Displays Engagement Ring at Photo-Op
Yesterday morning, Crown Princess Victoria officially announced her intent to marry Daniel Westling after receiving consent from her father and the Swedish government. The media was then invited to Princess Sibylla’s Apartment at the Royal Palace in Stockholm later in the afternoon for a photo opportunity with the newly engaged couple. Victoria and Daniel fielded some questions from reporters and the princess demurely displayed her diamond solitaire engagement ring. The wedding is planned for the summer of 2010.
