Prince Friso was seriously injured in an avalanche yesterday whilst on holiday in Lech, Austria. He is in an intensive care unit at a hospital in Innsbruck. His treating physicians have reported that his condition is stable, but not completely out of danger. Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands and his wife Princess Mabel are at his side.
Forty-three year old Friso is the second son of Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands and the father of two daughters.
