Pieter, son of Prince Pieter-Christiaan and Princess Anita, was baptized today in the chapel of the Paleis Het Loo Nationaal Museum in Apeldoorn. His godparents are Prince Maurits, prof. mr. Pieter van Vollenhoven, Anouk van Doorn and Sandra Chollet. He is the grandson of Princess Margriet of the Netherlands.

Prince Pieter-Christiaan Presents His Son Pieter
The Dutch Royal House website released a photo of Prince Pieter-Christiaan cradling his newborn son Pieter. Princess Margriet’s ninth grandchild was born on November 19th.

Princess Anita Gives Birth to a Son
Princess Anita gave birth to a son this morning at the Medisch Centrum Haaglanden. He was born at 1:32 am (local time) and weighed 3745 grams (8.3lbs). Prince Pieter-Christiaan and Anita have named their son Pieter Anton Maurits Erik. Pieter is the ninth grandchild for Princess Margriet of the Netherlands and prof. mr. Pieter van Vollenhoven.

Princess Anita Expecting Second Child in November
One and a half year old Emma van Vollenhoven will be getting a sibling in November. Princess Anita and Prince Pieter-Christiaan have announced that they are expecting a second child. This arrival will be the ninth grandchild for Princess Margriet of the Netherlands and prof. mr. Pieter van Vollenhoven.

Dutch Royals Participate in Make a Difference Day
With Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands at the helm, the Dutch Royal Family came out in force to promote “Make a Difference Day” on November 3rd. The queen along with her sister, Princess Margriet, helped out with cooking chores at Open Erf "De Groote Modderkolk" in Loenen, Gelderland.
Princess Máxima passed out food and reading material to hospital patients at the Groene Hart Ziekenhuis in Gouda. Prince Constantijn and Princess Laurentien volunteered at the Asielzoekerscentrum in Alkmaar. Professor mr. Pieter van Vollenhoven participated in rescue operations at the Koninklijke Nederlandse Redding Maatschappij in Hoek van Holland. Prince Maurits and Princess Marilène appeared at the Stichting LaLuz in Amsterdam. Rounding out the group, Prince Pieter-Christiaan and Princess Anita visited the Nachtopvang in Zelfbeheer in Utrecht.

Christening of Emma Van Vollenhoven

Emma Francisca Catharina van Vollenhoven, daughter of Prince Pieter-Christiaan and Princess Anita, was christened at the chapel of the Paleis Het Loo Nationaal Museum in Apeldoorn on August 25th. Her godparents are Prince Bernhard, Caroline van der Toorn-van Eijk, Evert-Jan Wamsteker and Alexandra Gravin de Witt-Cavard. Emma is the sixth grandchild of Princess Margriet and professor mr. Pieter van Vollenhoven.
Emma was born on November 28, 2006.
