Yesterday, King Abdullah II of Jordan lambasted the assassination attempt on a former prime minister of Pakistan. Benazir Bhutto’s convoy was attacked in Karachi on October 18th as she returned to her homeland after eight years of self-exile. Bhutto escaped the onslaught unscathed. The king cabled the president of Pakistan, Pervez Musharraf, with his condolences and called the assailment “a totally reprehensible terrorist attack.”
