The legislature parliament of Nepal has voted for a federal democratic republic today. A constituent assembly election is scheduled for mid-April and after the first meeting of the constituent assembly, the change will be executed. The king will no longer be head of state. Instead, the prime minister will shoulder the responsibilities until the constituent assembly election.
