BREAKING NEWS: Zara Tindall Announces Pregnancy

Zara Tindall is expecting her first child. The announcement was made on the British Monarchy website today.

The baby will be Princess Anne’s third grandchild.

Zara Phillips Marries Her Rugby Player

Zara Phillips, only daughter of The Princess Royal, married Michael James Tindall in Canongate Kirk at 3:00pm (local time) today. Her gown was designed by Stewart Parvin. The veil was anchored by the Princess Andrew of Greece meander tiara. The tiara was given to Princess Anne by Queen Elizabeth II around 1972. Zara also wore Jimmy Choo shoes and borrowed her mother’s diamond pendant earrings.

Captain Mark Phillips escorted his daughter into the church whilst the Reverend Neil Gardner presided over the ceremony. Zara Phillips is the second grandchild of Queen Elizabeth II.

BBC’s Inside Sport Interviews Princess Anne

BBC’s Inside Sport was granted a rare interview with Princess Anne; it aired tonight on BBC One at 10:35 pm (local time). The princess is renowned for her industriousness in charity work and steadfast commitment to sports. She has been a member of the International Olympic Committee since 1988 and was involved in London’s bid for hosting the Olympic Games in 2012. Anne is currently serving on the London Organising Committee of the Olympic Games.

The Princess Royal At 60: An Inside Sport Special will air again on Sunday at 2:00 pm (local time) on BBC Two.

Princess Anne will be turning sixty on Sunday.

Princess Anne to Become a Grandmother

The Princess Royal’s son, Peter Phillips, will become a father in December. Buckingham Palace confirmed the news by passing on the following statement: “Peter and Autumn Phillips are delighted to confirm they are expecting a baby in December. 'The Queen and Duke of Edinburgh as well as Autumn's family have been informed and are delighted with the news.”

Peter’s child will be the first great-grandchild for Queen Elizabeth II.

Prince Edward Attends Beijing Paralympic Games

Whilst Princess Anne is a member of the International Olympic Committee, her younger brother, Prince Edward, is a patron of the British Paralympic Association; a post he has held since November 2003. In his capacity as BPA’s patron, he travelled to the Beijing 2008 Paralympic Games last week. Before leaving China, the Earl of Wessex will attend the British Paralympic Association Twenty Twelve Reception which will be hosted at the Inter-Continental Hotel in Beijing tomorrow.

What The Queen Eats for Breakfast

On September 25th, Mullock’s auction house in Ludlow will open bids on a rare set of notes detailing the breakfast and tea requests of the British Royal family in the early 1990’s. Some preferences of Queen Elizabeth II for her breakfast table was white toast, cereal, brown sugar and marmalade. Princess Anne liked kiwi fruit and orange juice and Prince Edward dined on yogurt, cereal and boiled eggs.
